What a production! I wonder how many takes they had to do to make that video.

Ok Go is known for doing some very unique productions, but I'm impressed by how much thought and planning and choreographing must have gone into filming each one of their videos.

I think the one I was most inspired by was the Rube Goldberg Machine Version. It was built over the course of several months, and is something I've always wanted to create. My favorite part was when the song cut out, and the machine itself played a part of the song.

To take a look at the behind-the-scenes videos of making this video: http://www.okgo.net/this-too-shall-pass-rube-goldberg-machine/

fun choreography, reminds me Dafts Punk's "Around the World" music video and The White Stripes "Hardest Button to Button" music video both directed by Michel Gondry.

Hey Bill,

I really enjoyed watching this. It was amazing how well the dogs were well trained and how the music was in sync with everything they were doing. I hadn't seen an Ok Go production before, but it did remind me a bit of Daft Punk, who has amazing productions as well. This must have been quite a lot of work to get everything just right. I'll definitely have to look them up some more to see what other videos they have.

Wow i've always enjoyed OK GO's (DYI) DO IT YOURSELF spirit. They've always put 150% of work and care into making these seemingly low budget music videos into brilliantly choreographed & filmed viral hits.

you can clearly see the love and care for this craft. This also reminds me Michel Gondry music videos/movies. I am also very fond of his style and sensibilities. I think they both follow the same charm and spirit of arts & crafts and showcase the DIY movement well.

OK Go always does a great job with their videos. They're all ridiculously impressive and I can only imagine how many takes they must go through to make one video.

I can't really decide which is my favorite. Both are amazing and I applaud them for being completely unique and entertaining. We need more bands like this!

Do you think it was harder to get the animals on cue or the people? Hey, anybody else notice the goat? If I had thought things like this would be in an aesthetic class I would have been more excited to show up. I think this video shows something unique about my generation: the more serious we are about something, the more likely we are to include something light hearted about it. Like dancing dogs in a video to support animal rescue, and plastic trash can stacking in a music video made by people passionate about music.
